“Harry Clarke – A Window on the Peninsula” Project.

The Bleeding Pig Cultural Festival has organised an exhibition around the Harry Clarke designed and made stained glass window in St. Patricks R. C. church in Donabate.
The “Suffer Little Children” stained glass window in St. Patrick’s RC Church in Donabate was designed by the famous Irish stained glass artist Harry Clarke.
Many residents of and visitors to the peninsula are unaware that the church has such a magnificent window.
A number of artists working in different mediums have come together under The Bleeding Pig Cultural Festival. This group includes artists, metal worker, photographers, jewellery makers, quilters and the local guild of the ICA. Their remit is to produce a piece of work to show what the Harry Clarke window means to them. This is not a competition.
The works produced will be displayed at an exhibition on the weekend of Friday 8th. 9th. and 10th. December.
This exhibition will take place in the Parish Hall, the original church in the Parish
The exhibition is being coordinated by Art Director and Production Designer Veronica Smartt.
